Biography
In April 2025, the idea was born for what would grow into a powerful tribute to one of the most influential bands from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal: Saxon. What started as an ambitious plan by a passionate drummer quickly developed into a serious project. With his deep love for classic heavy metal and the tight, energetic sound of Saxon, he began his search for like-minded and ambitious musicians.
The call was clear: not a standard cover band, but a Saxon tribute band that takes the audience back to the glory days of the 1980s, with explosive performances of classics such as “Denim and Leather”, “Wheels of Steel” and “Princess of the Night”. The focus is on musicianship, stage presence and an authentic live experience.
Finding the right musicians proved harder than expected. The original plan was to form a dedicated Saxon tribute band, but it soon became clear that the project needed a different direction.
Instead of staying within one fixed tribute concept, Crusaders evolved into a heavy metal journey: taking non-metal songs and turning them into real metal anthems. Familiar songs are given a heavier, darker and more powerful identity, driven by strong guitars, pounding drums and a sound that is unmistakably Crusaders.
The mission is clear: to bring non-metal classics into the world of heavy metal and make them hit harder than ever before.
